BODEGA MONTE LATURCE has its origin in Clavijo, a small village in La Rioja overlooking the mountain Monte Laturce, hence the name of our winery. It was in Clavijo where the Sáenz López brothers discovered their passion for wine, during their childhood when getting into the oak vats to clean them and watching their father making his own wine with love and care.
Our aim is to harvest top quality grapes for our wines. After a careful vinification process the best quality wines are selected and left to rest in American and French oak barrels. With a truly respect for the traditional techniques and with a modern vision of Rioja´s wines, Rubén Sáenz is the wines author and also, one of the youngest oenologists in La Rioja. He plays an essential role actively supervising every step in the winemaking process and leaving his personal style in every bottle of Monte Laturce.
